Building Credit as a Newcomer to Canada
Moving to Canada can feel like starting over financially. In most cases, the credit history you built in your home country does not automatically transfer. Even with an excellent record and a good job, you may begin with no Canadian credit file at all. This is called having a "thin" or "no" credit file.
The goal is to start a file and show reliable behaviour. Here are practical first steps:
